Two ways to keep cats free from parasites

Parasites not only live on cats, but humans are also one of the hosts of parasites. Therefore, we must pay attention to the fact that cats are infected with parasites, otherwise they will indirectly infect themselves.

If a cat is infected with parasites, the mild symptoms are only itching on the skin epidermis, and some small spots will appear.

When cats are infected at the beginning, the parasite symptoms are easily confused with the symptoms of other diseases, and we need to distinguish them. We can observe and judge from the following two aspects .

I. Methods for judging cats infected with parasites

Method 1: Check for parasites Symptoms

First, look at cats for common symptoms of parasite infection, such as: unhealthy fur, pale gums, lethargy, decreased appetite, etc.

The more obvious symptoms are blood in the stool, diarrhea, vomiting, a bloated belly, or licking and rubbing the anus on the floor.

Often kittens bring hookworms in the mother cat’s stomach, and hookworms are invisible to the naked eye and can only be identified under a microscope.

Symptoms in kittens include pallor, weight loss, and anemia.

Method 2: Check for parasites

1. Check cat feces And whether there is any noodle-like thing in the vomit, the color is roughly white or brown, which is usually roundworms.

2. Use gloves and tools when checking cat feces. Move the feces and look for anything grainy, like little sesame seeds. This is usually a tapeworm, which may be stationary or wiggly.

3. Check the cat’s anus. If a small amount of rice-like worms remain around the cat’s anus, it is indeed a tapeworm.

4. Check your cat’s bedding or other sleeping areas for parasites. Tapeworms, in particular, can crawl from a cat’s anus onto bedding. Tapeworms and roundworms may be wriggling, or they may have dried out.

Second, how to prevent parasites?

First of all, don’t keep cats, there are many hazards in cat breeding, such as accidents when going out, contracting infectious diseases, getting lost, etc. Among them, contracting infectious diseases is the most common and the most serious. .

Cats are susceptible to fleas when they play in the grass, and fleas are the host that infect tapeworms through fleas.

Not just tapeworms, but also Toxoplasma gondii through soil. Toxoplasma gondii is more easily transmitted to cats during pregnancy, resulting in miscarriage in pregnant cats.

When raising cats, the environment in the home should always be kept clean, and some unused sundries should not be piled up in one place. Avoid accumulation as a breeding ground for fleas.

After the carpet is removed, prevent flea eggs. Furniture, sofas, sheets and some fabrics in the home should be cleaned and disinfected frequently to maintain hygiene. Even the walls can’t be spared, tick-proof.

In addition to these, dietary precautions are also important. We need to give cats some resistance-enhancing, nutritionally balanced cat food.

Deworming with topical medicine every three months. Drops are the best for external use, because the drops penetrate the sebaceous glands and act on the whole body to deworm the whole body, and they should be dropped directly on the skin.
