Arowana feeding requirements

Arowana breeding standards

1. Requirements for water temperature. Generally speaking, keep the water temperature at 24~26℃ when raising dragon fish. However, if silver dragons and black dragons are cultured, the water temperature needs to be raised to 28~30°C. These dragonfish species prefer a higher temperature breeding environment. In addition, in the process of breeding arowana, attention should be paid to maintaining a constant temperature to avoid excessive temperature difference. The sudden increase and decrease of water temperature is not good for the arowana, which may cause the nervous system of the arowana to shock and die. Therefore, it is very important to strictly control the water temperature for arowana breeding. Usually, when changing the water in the fish tank

, we should pay attention to controlling the temperature difference between the new water and the long water to not exceed 2 °C.

2. Requirements for oxygen. The delay in water is the product of photosynthesis of aquatic plants, and part of the oxygen can also be dissolved from the air, so that there is oxygen in the water. However, other substances such as fish excrement will decompose, and then continue to consume the dissolved oxygen in the water body. Therefore, when cultivating arowana, you should pay attention to cleaning up all kinds of dirt in the fish tank in time to keep the arowana with enough oxygen to survive. . It is best to install oxygen-enhancing equipment in the breeding container, and you can also cultivate some aquatic plants in the water, so that it can not only beautify the environment, but also play a role in oxygen-enhancing.

3. Requirements for water quality. Arowana’s requirements for water quality are more inclined to weakly acidic soft water. Generally, river water and river water are weakly acidic, which is suitable for breeding arowana. However, the tap water used by people contains a certain amount of chlorine and fluorine, which are very harmful to dragon fish. Therefore, if the chlorine and fluorine in tap water are gone, it can be added to the fish tank.

4. Requirements for light. Most arowanas are kept indoors, but be careful not to keep them in the shade, because arowana needs a certain amount of light in the process of growth, and pet owners are best to keep the fish tank with sunlight within a day 3~4 hours. If the dragon fish lives in low light for a long time, it will become rigid, lose appetite and dull color. Colleagues should also be careful not to let it irradiate too strong light, otherwise it will cause the arowana to swim abnormally, and even cause the arowana bubble disease.

Warm reminder: Arowana is beautiful and delicate. I hope everyone hopes that their arowanas will be healthy and live a long life. For this reason, the breeding of arowana must bear in mind the above feeding requirements and take care of the arowana.
