2. Avoid hanging the birdcage in the air to be affected by the wind.

3. In the hot summer, pay attention to keeping the bird cage ventilated and avoid the birds from being heated to prevent the birds from heat stroke and death. For birds with better motherhood, they need to be driven out of the nest frequently to prevent the chicks from getting soggy feathers due to too much heat, which will affect their growth and development.

Some At times, the birds’ feathers and toes rely only on the water bath, which is difficult to achieve good cleaning requirements, so the owner needs to help them with further cleaning at this time. When cleaning the parrot, take care to hold its body with the left hand, then wet or submerge the parts that need to be cleaned with water, and then use the right hand to rub its messy feathers and toes with cotton. Immediately after cleaning, blot the wet feathers with a dry cloth and put them back in the bird cage.

The bird’s drinker usually contains some residual food, bird droppings and scale, etc. Substance residues, these dirt can seriously affect the health of birds, so the owner should pay attention to cleaning the bird’s drinking fountain every day, and then inject clean new water. In addition, in order to prevent the birds from taking a water bath in the drinking fountain and making the drinking water dirty, the owner can put loofah or plastic sponge in the drinking fountain to encourage the birds to only drink water and not wash water. In summer and autumn afternoons, it is necessary for the owner to check the condition of the bird’s waterer and add more water if it is running low.  

5. Trim the claws and beaks of the birds regularly 

The birds are kept in cages for a long time, rarely exposed to gravel, soil , trees, etc., which will lead to less wear on their claws, resulting in excessively long claws, which will affect the bird’s normal movement and standing. In addition, too long claws can easily insert into the gaps of the bird cage, which can cause the bird’s shin or toes to break. In general, once a bird’s claws exceed 2/3 of the toe length, proper trimming is required.
