The parasite is very fond of animals with dense fur, especially cattle. It can often be found under the neck of cattle and on the inside of the four legs. It often gathers in groups and is very difficult to remove. It is extremely common in rural areas such as Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou.

Morphological characteristics

Ticks are transient parasites on the body of many species of vertebrates, and are vectors and reservoirs for some zoonotic diseases.
