Four principles of dog matching

Dog matching is to choose a suitable male dog for the female dog, that is, to choose a suitable male dog ‘s spouse. Let’s first understand the four principles of dog selection:

1. Try to combine the best: It is best for dog owners to choose male and female dogs with common advantages for mating. In this way, its advantages can be maintained, consolidated and developed in the offspring; while the male and female dogs have the same shortcomings, it is best not to mate, if mating will make the shortcomings of both sides more prominent.

2. It is possible to have good and bad breeds: in the case of insufficient good breed dogs, you can choose a dog with a certain advantage to mate with another dog with the same disadvantage. Use the advantages to overcome the disadvantages. However, it should be noted that the convex back cannot be used to transform the concave back, and the “X” limb posture cannot be used to correct the “O” limb posture.

3. Age is very important. In terms of matching age, the ideal is to match the old with the old, or the old (bitches) with the old (male), and try to avoid the old with the old. Dogs over 5 years old who have never been bred before (virgin dogs) are not suitable for breeding.

4. Pay attention to your body shape. When choosing, the dog owner should also pay attention to the shape of the male and female dogs. The size of both sides of the dog should be suitable, and one should not be too large and the other should not be too small. This avoids injury during mating.
