Sealyham Terrier ear care process:
1. The ear canal is relatively clean. If the Sealyham Terrier’s earwax is not serious, it is not difficult to clean it. You can use your hands to poke the hair around the ears of the Sealyham Terrier first, then pull up the pinna, dip some glycerin with a cotton swab, apply it on the external auditory canal of the Sealyham Terrier, and then gently massage the Sealyham Terrier with your hands. Clean the entire ear of the Sealyham Terrier to disperse the oil that has entered the ear of the Sealyham Terrier, and finally use a cotton swab to insert into the ear canal and wipe it clean.
2. Too much earwax is too hard. If the Sealyham Terrier’s earwax is not only a lot, but also condenses into hard lumps that are difficult to clean, then first use alcohol to disinfect the entire ear, and then go to the pet hospital to buy special pet ear drops, drop it on the earwax agglomeration, and wait. After the earwax softens, gently remove the earwax with tweezers. But parents should be careful, the tweezers can’t be inserted too deep, because the dog’s ears are very delicate, so be careful when cleaning. That’s why parents need to pay attention. And if you see the Sealyham Terrier struggling a little, you should quickly take out the tweezers so as not to hurt the Sealyham Terrier’s eardrum.
3. Ear inflammation. If the Sealyham Terrier’s ears still have inflammation, it’s best to go to the pet hospital to buy special anti-inflammatory ear drops, and use them according to the doctor’s advice, the dosage and the method of use. Parents first pull up the ears of the Sealyham Terrier, then drip the ear drops into the ears, and then massage gently with their hands to promote the absorption of the drug.
