1. Choose the appropriate tank size

The size of the adult silver arowana is larger. Generally speaking, the young silver arowana can grow to a size of 60cm within a year, reaching the standard of a mature arowana. The size of the living space of the silver arowana largely affects the growth of the silver arowana, so it is very important to choose a fish tank

of the right size. Generally speaking, the length of the fish tank used for raising silver arowana should not be less than 1.5m, and the width and height should not be less than 0.6m. If the size of the fish tank in which the silver arowana is located is too small, it is likely to deform its body and easily lead to mental tension and other conditions.

2. Keep the water quality and environment stable

Silver arowana is more suitable for living in weakly acidic soft water. Generally, in water with a pH value of 5.8-8.0, silver arowana can grow normally. The pH value in the range of 6.5-7.5 is most conducive to the growth and development of silver arowana. In addition, the hardness of water can be maintained at 3-12.

3. Meet the requirements of silver dragon fish for water temperature

Climate changes will directly affect the water temperature in the fish tank, so breeders usually need to adjust the temperature in the fish tank reasonably in time according to the change in temperature water temperature. Keeping the water temperature stable is one of the important conditions for maintaining the appetite of the arowana. The owner should try to keep the water temperature in the fish tank as stable as possible. In winter and summer, special attention should be paid to using appropriate insulation and cooling measures to keep the water temperature in the tank balanced. It is best to keep the water temperature at 26~30℃ at all times, which is very important for the healthy growth of arowana.

4. Keep the water quality in good condition

During the process of changing the water, it is easy to cause problems in the fish tank. The pH and temperature of the water quality change, and the excessive changes in water quality often lead to the phenomenon of silver arowana not eating, lying in the tank or even dying because of the incompatibility. Therefore, it is also very important to change the water in an appropriate amount for raising arowana. Just replace a quarter of the water in the fish tank, and then inject the same amount of tap water after 2 to 3 days of airing to remove the chlorine.
