1. For the swollen eyes of the tortoise caused by bacterial infection
(1) First of all, the sick turtle with swollen eyes needs to be dry-raised (dry it in water twice a day during the dry-feeding period) ).
(2) Apply erythromycin eye ointment or chlortetracycline eye ointment or chloramphenicol eye drops
to the sick turtle to help the sick turtle to reduce swelling of the eyes, and use daily medication The number of times is about 3 to 5 times, and the infected part of the diseased turtle can be smeared.
(3) After applying the ointment or dripping the medicine to the sick turtle, the turtle should be placed on the ground for 5 minutes. Absorb medicine.
(4) Generally, apply ointment to the sick turtle for about 3 days, and the inflammation of the sick turtle will gradually improve. If the inflammation improves, then there is no need to worry. However, if the sick turtle is still not getting better after 5 days of drug treatment, it needs to be treated with oral antibiotics.
2. For the swollen eyes of the tortoise due to contact with foreign bodies and pressure on the eyes
(1) Mix a small amount of Rivanol into a 1% aqueous solution, and apply it to the eyes of the sick turtle every day for 3 to 5 days to help it clean and disinfect the eyes.
(2) Inject the water-soluble vitamin A into the muscle of the sick turtle once a week to relieve the swelling of the turtle.
3. For the swollen eyes of the tortoise due to the dry environment
Use nitrofuracil for the sick tortoise Or furazolidone solution for treatment, and the specific dosage is as follows: juvenile turtles are sick, and the drug concentration is 20ml/L; young turtles are sick, and the drug concentration is 30ml/L. After 3 to 5 days of continuous medication, the swollen eyes of the sick turtle will improve.
