Rabbits will want to reduce their body temperature in this way after heatstroke. Therefore, when the owner sees the rabbit lying on the ground, he can observe whether it is sluggish, has a poor appetite, etc. If so, he should immediately cool the rabbit, place it in a calm and ventilated place, and let the rabbit drink more water. , If the follow-up symptoms have not disappeared, it is recommended to take the rabbit directly to the veterinary hospital for examination and medical treatment.

2. Low blood sugar

Suppose the rabbit has been malnourished for a long time. In that case, It is possible to suffer from hypoglycemia, which will cause energy loss in the body, which will cause the rabbit to be unable to stand up and lie on the ground. The owner can open the rabbit’s mouth and feed warm glucose water. Just wait for it to recover. At the same time, you must pay attention to the rabbit’s nutritional balance daily. In addition to feeding hay such as alfalfa, you can also feed some fresh fruits and vegetables to the rabbit in moderation.

3. Rabbit coccidiosis

The rabbit is infected with coccidiosis. After getting sick, it will stay in the cage and stop moving. Diarrhea caused by rabbit coccidiosis will cause the rabbit’s physical fitness to decline continuously, resulting in the rabbit’s collapse or dehydration so that the rabbit has no strength and can only lie in the cage. At this time, the owner needs to feed the sick rabbits with deworming drugs in time for treatment and clean and disinfect the daily necessities such as water basins and food basins that the sick rabbits come into contact with to prevent infection to other healthy rabbits. If it improves, it is recommended to take the rabbit directly to the pet hospital for examination and then take medication under the veterinarian’s guidance.
