Feeding of terrapins
Most turtles like open waters, so you need to reserve enough space for them when raising terrapins , to ensure that they can grow up in a healthy environment both physically and mentally. When the tank is kept too small or the stocking density is too high, the performance and condition of the turtle will be poor, and the lifespan will be affected as a result.
The growth of aquatic turtles requires ultraviolet rays. If conditions permit, the turtles can be exposed to the sun for 2-4 hours a day. If it is difficult to get natural light, purchasing UVB lamps can be used as artificial ultraviolet light sources to replace sunlight, and let the turtles bask on their backs for 6-8 hours a day.
The basking area is the favorite area of water turtles. The size of this area can be set to 1/5-1/2 of the entire breeding environment. Wood products with gentle slopes, plastic products, or bricks, stones, and driftwood can be stacked, as long as they are stable and fixed, so that the turtles can climb up and down.
